Dear Parishioner,
The 2011-2012 Maronite Christian Formation Program (MCFP) is upon us. The goal of our MCFP program is not only to educate but also to help our children grow spiritually. Many of our children attend Catholic parochial schools and that is wonderful but those schools do not teach our children our Maronite tradition. For many other of our children, this MCFP program is the only Catechism they will receive and it is a vital part of our children’s education in order for them to grow spiritually and also to understand the Maronite Church and tradition that they are a part of.
Our children are the future of our parish family. It is up to all of us to teach them the right way, the way of Christ, and how to live a life that reflects their faith in Christ. This MCFP program is important but loses all meaning unless this Christian education continues at home. The MCFP team is a group of dedicated and loving people from our community whose goal it is to teach and form our youth in our faith and tradition. In addition to our classes we also have different events and activities throughout the year such as a Christmas play, spring time food drive, and our youth masses we have throughout the year.
Registration for the MCFP program for grades Pre-school through 8th grade will continue for the next few Sundays after both liturgies. Classes will begin September 18th at 10:45 am. There will be a cost of $25 per student which will defer the cost of books, programming, projects, and snacks.
We are looking forward to a great and exciting year with your children involved in the MCFP program. If you have any questions please feel free to call Maroun Kattar (440) 884-2845 or Fr. Tony Massad (810) 691-7055.
Thank you and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Reverend Father Tony Massad, Associate Pastor
