March 13, 2020
Dear Parishioners,
Bishop Zaidan and the Catholic Bishops of Ohio – out of concern for our common good and the physical as well as spiritual being of all the people of Ohio – have agreed to cooperate with the governor’s direction to create a “safe distance.”
Therefore, Catholic faithful who reside in Ohio and all other Catholics in the state of Ohio are dispensed from the obligation of Sunday Liturgy for the weekends of March 14-15, March 21-22 and March 28-29.
The only events that will still be held are:
- Weekend Liturgy ( however you are dispensed from the obligation)
- Weekday Liturgy (regular schedule)
- Stations and Benediction of the Holy Cross on Friday evening (Pot Luck dinner cancelled)
- Funerals
- Baptisms
- Parish Office will remain open (regular schedule)
The Social Hall will be closed until further notice.
We will only have an online bulletin this week and will not have paper copies at the Chapel or Church. We are doing everything possible to minimize the passing of any germs between one another.
Bishop Zaidan asks that you “continue prayers for those who may be sick and those who care for them. Let us all pray, as well, for an end to this developing epidemic.”
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Elias Yazbeck
